In an age where celebrity mothers regularly share snapshots into their child's life, it's perhaps unsurprising that they sometimes find themselves on the receiving end of criticism from various members of the public.
One world-famous mother, who today found herself subjected to public backlash, was reality TV star queen, Kim Kardashian.
The pregnant mum-of-one, who had taken a break from posting on her social media platforms on account of her brother-in-law's hospitalisation, returned to Instagram this week, but it doesn't look like she got the reception she was expecting.
Kim, who cancelled her impending arrival's baby shower to stay by Lamar Odom's side last week, returned to documenting the activities of her favourite little girl yesterday.
Uploading a snap of North and a little pal sleeping in the back of her car, Kim captioned the shot: "Knocked out!" before adding a heart emoticon to the message.
Concerned by the position of the childrens' chest straps, fans and followers of the star were quick to point out some safety issues to Kim.
Defending their decision to call Kim out on the issue, one Instagram user wrote: "Car seat safety is something I am crazy about. Whenever I see a child strapped in incorrectly I always say something, it's not judging it's hoping saving a child's life."
Echoing other users, one member of the public insisted that their comments were being shared in good faith, writing: "I hope she sees some of these comments and learns how to buckle her kids in the right way."
If Kim felt at all dismayed by the outpouring of criticism her photo received, she was surely buoyed by the support offered by other fans, with one writing: "Just because she's a celebrity doesn't mean that she has to be perfect 24/7."
"Are you a perfect mother all the time? Yea didn't think so. She didn't seem to be asking for advice or your "helpful" commentary, so back the F off." they finished.
