I hadn't come across kooky before seeing this trial. We were pleasantly surprised to receive the funky attractive packages and was looking forward to getting stuck in. I thought it may be helpful to make the package colours more obviously different as if they were side by side in a supermarket I could see how it would be quite easy not to differentiate and pick up the 'wrong' package.
It was great to read the list of ingredients and see all natural ingredients and no additives. A definite plus in making me consider purchasing this product.
The kids were dying to get making so we opened the packages the afternoon they arrived. What I would say from the outset is if you want the kids to join in there is no point in using the guides on the wrapper to cut the cookies. They would have to use a v sharp knife and it is v fiddly. Otherwise the instructions were easy to follow and it did 'exactly what it said on the tin'. Within 15 minutes we had cut and baked a delicious batch of cookies. I preferred the triple chocolate chip but everyone else liked both equally. It's v clever that the parchment is included and makes everything quick and ready to go.
As a tip I would recommend leaving the kooky dough in the fridge right up to the moment you are going to use it as it gets sticky quite quickly with handling.
We normally bake cookies here every fortnight or so but this would be a good alternative to having something in a hurry. Definitely convenient and no mess. I would recommend this product to friends.

I had never used this kooky dough product before I was chosen to take part in the trial. my 6 year old was wait all last week Thor them to come and finically they did on Friday, we cooked them straight away that night and boy was it so easy, it was great that the grease proof paper is included so all we had to do was heat the oven and cut the dough. it was handy that the wrapper had marks we could use to cut although I didn't get 15 cookies as I wasn't that great at being that precise. the cookies only took 9 mins and they were just lovely, my son had friends over the next day so believe me when I say they were devoured!!!! really great product for someone like me who has hasn't baked anything like this since home economics in school. LOL!!!!!! would defo buy this product in the future :)

Firstly thanks so much for including me in this trial. I had heard of the Kooky Dough brand before but had never used it.
I'm a full time working Mum and also no baker!! This product though is fantastic, very easy to use, no mess and cooked in 15 minutes!! I would recommend cutting the cookies straight from the fridge.
My husband and 16 month old as a treat loved them and I'll def be adding them to my shopping list.

Thanks Again!!

It was very nice to have the products hand delivered. I had never heard of the product before so was dying to try them out and was impressed by the really nice and compact packaging. My son and daughter had their friends around this morning and we decided to make both packs (chunky chocolate chip and triple chocolate chip) I have to say that they were very easy to make and there was none of the usual mess involved in baking which was great. All that was needed was the oven, an oven tray and a knife! The cookies were ready within 10 minutes and the smell that wafted throughout the house was really lovely. Once the cookies cooled off for a couple of minutes we all had a sample of each and were really impressed how light & tasty they were. Will definitely be buying these again as its something nice to do with the kids on a rainy day. Also look forward to trying out different products in the range. Thanks again for including me in trialling these.

Firstly I would like thank Mummy pages for my two flavours of kooky dough. Before the advertisement on Mummypages I had never heard of this product, but by God am I delighted I requested to trial it. The packaging is so neat and tidy it fitted in the fridge without a problem. When I went to make the Kookies (after tormenting from my three children) it was the quickest and easiest dessert I have ever prepared. It is so easy to do and after the three minute resting time the children (& myself of course) devoured them. They were delicious. The Kooky Dough will be great to have in the fridge for unexpected visitors with children or kids parties, you will have them cooked & served within 15 minutes. They will be a definite purchase for my house.
Thanks again for such a lovely treat.
Regards
Rachel

Hi all we tried the kooky dough the other day myself and my 10year old son and I have to say it was great no mess to clean up really easy to use ,I had not heard of this brand before but will deft be using it again .on first impressions I thought the outer package was really bright it would be easy to find in the shops the directions on pack were fool proof I usually bake at least twice a week with my son and found this a really handy product as we had no weighing measuring and mixing we used both flavours although the triple choc was my favourite adam played around with his chunky choc pack, instead of just slicing his he rolled it into different shapes and sizes. It cooked really quick which was great as adam was sitting on floor waiting on his to cook. Overall it was a great product and I will definitely be buying it and I would have no problems recommending it to friends

Thanks for choosing me to do this trial xxxxx brigid and Adam

Kooky dough is the first premade dough that I have tried and I must say that I am really impressed. I am not really much of a cookie baker so it was so nice to get the boxes out of the fridge and simply cut the dough to size and straight into the oven. The smell from the oven was lovely and once out the cookies didnt last long. We liked both boxes but would most likely buy Chunky chocolate chip again. Another important thing is the ingredients. It was great to read the list of ingredients and see all natural ingredients without additives! I have no problems recommending this product to friends and family as it is so yummy.

Thanks for letting me take part!

I first heard of kookydough on Dragons Den but I had never tried it. I had seen it on the shelves at the supermarket and the packaging was bright and appealing but usually I would bake from scratch. It was such an easy product to use. The product was packaged in a small box with the roll of kookydough and also a sheet of parchment paper to bake the cookies on. I had the cookies sliced and in the oven within minutes and they were baked and out of the oven within 10 minutes. I tried the two kinds, chocolate chip and triple chocolate chip, both of which were very tasty but my children preferred the triple chocolate chip. They are a perfect product to have in the fridge for times when you have unexpected visitors as they can be made in minutes. It would be great to see them as brownies and flapjacks. I'll definitely be telling my friends about kookydough.

My Dad started buying Kooky Dough for my dd & I to bake together when they were selling from a stand in Ranelagh market a few years back. We always have enjoyed the product. It's great to see that they are now selling in so many major retailers and doing well. It's a great idea.

I wouldn't have been aware that Kooky Dough is the only brand to use all natural fresh ingredients as they say on their packaging. The packaging is great and it's brilliant the way that the baking parchment is included, very clever. It's a very easy to use product. The only very minor things I'd comment on are that there was no baking time for fan ovens, but I just used the normal oven part.

Then when I was slicing through the plastic lines part, which was v handy as a guide, I was worried a bit that plastic may have been left on the dough. So I was inspecting them very carefully before passing them to dd to put on the baking tray. I couldn't get the end bits out very easily so I think I kind of missed out on two cookies if that makes sense. But it's probably just the way I did it. The directions were very easy to follow on the outer packaging though.

My daughter and I always make these together. We do bake from scratch too a good bit, but these are so quick & easy to do if you don't want your kitchen in a total mess as usually happens when yours kids 'help'!

Our favourite flavour was the triple chocolate chip, the main reason being there was more chocolate. The plain chocolate were lovely too.

It'd be great to see other flavours in the range. I think at one stage I remember a white dough with cranberries or maybe that is my total imagination?!

We'll definitely buy this product again and we would recommend to friends for sure.

Thanks for letting us take part in the trial.

Abby

I had heard of kooky dough but never bought it as it always seemed bit if waste of money to be honest. Never seemed like too much effort to bake from scratch. However with a toddler & baby in tow everything is an effort!! So was delighted to try these. First thing I did was read the ingredients as I was sure there would preservatives in there but pleasantly surprised to see only the ingredients I would use myself.
My little girl was delighted when I said we could bake as my answer is usually " not now!"
So simple to use. I did find the wrapping a bit sticky to get away from the dough and I could not manage to cut them thin enough to make 15.
The quick cooking time is also good. My little girl was delighted to see they " looked like real cookies" !! They tasted great and didn't last long. I did find them slightly chewy for my liking, but there is probably other types with a bit more crunch. The packaging is appealing and would catch your eye. I would definitely buy them again, especially as the dough can be frozen. I like to bake from scratch when I can but as those times are few and far between, will be great to have something on stand by that I can say yes to my daughter more often!! I would advertise the fact that they can be frozen as a big selling point. Most people are cutting down on waste and these would be a product I would avoid thinking that it would sit in the fridge unused and end up in the bin. Knowing it can be frozen would be a big selling point in my view
Thanks for letting us try them

Hi Guys,
Me and my little family (hubby and 2 year old!!!!) were very excited to try these. The Hubby was prob the most over entuastic person to make these as he's a huge cookie lover!! The instructions were simple, one thing that we found a little misleading is that it says you get 15 cookies out of it but when you cut them by the guidlines you only really get 12 out of them! and we found the baking sheet included in it wasn't really big enough to hold them all, by the time they expanded inthe oven they were nealry one big blob.....even though we spaced them well!
Non the less we really enjoyed making them and my 2yr old lil boy was very excited watching them grow in the oven, the smel about the house was beautiful and they did taste amazing, especially with an oul cup of tea after dinner :)
We were very impressed and would definatley buy them to make again. I've been looking out for them in the supermarket but haven't seen them yet, will keep looking though :) Thanks again for including us in this trial, we really enjoyed it :)

I have to admit that I had seen the brand in Tescos before however I had never bought it - but that’s possibly because I try not to go into my kitchen unless I have to ;o)) This product helped with that as I wasn’t in the kitchen for long preparing them – they are SO easy to make!!! Baked these with my 15 year old sister who has already bought some more. I do actually bake a little bit but I tend to get bored halfway through – I loved that there was zero mess and that I didn’t even have to cut my own baking paper.
To be honest I found the first batch a little hard to cut straight from the fridge however I put the second pack in the freezer and am happy to report that it was much easier to cut froozen. The packaging was very striking – very colourful and easily identifiably. Our household can’t decide on which flavour was better – they were both scrumptious! I would definitely recomment them as they are great to have in the freezer and just pop in the oven if someone calls in unexpected. Would love to see more flavours added to the range…maybe stawberry & cream? Thanks to the Kooky Dough & Mummy Pages team for including us in this trail - it was yummy!!!!

I was not aware of the Kooky Dough brand before taking part in the mums say trial, but I’m so delighted I’ve discovered it! I love baking (or rather I love eating baked goods) but with three small girls keeping me busy, it’s hard to find the time to make even simple recipes like cookies. So I was thrilled to find a product that is so quick and simple but still leaves you with a freshly baked product.
I made the cookies with my three girls (ages 8, 6 and 3) and there was very little work for me to do as they were able to do most of it themselves! It was simple…just cut up the Kooky Dough into slices, pop on a tray and put in the oven…a few minutes later we had a lovely smell of freshly made cookies in the house. As you can imagine the warm cookies didn’t last long and were eaten within an hour they were so delicious!
The fact that there is virtually no cleaning up is a major plus and the parchment paper that cake with the Kooky Dough is a brilliant idea…it really couldn’t be easier.
We can’t decide which flavoure we preferred…they were both so yummy. I would definitely recommend Kooky Dough to other mums and will be buying it in future. I would love to see other flavours added to the range…my girls love chocolate chip and walnut cookies so maybe that could be a recipe to try?
Thank you for letting me take part in the trial…the whole family are giving Kooky Dough the thumbs up! x

I had never heard of the brand before , and didn't know it used all natural ingredients which I find a big positive as I don't like the idea of all the added extras that you might find in other brands.
I loved the packaging. its very eye catching and colourful and all the information is easy to find and the instructions are so easy to follow and loved the fact that is came with its own baking sheet so no cookies sticking to the tray mess.
The cookie dough is wrapped in a tight film and its marked so you know were to cut the cookies, but as I was making these with my 20 month old little girl, I wanted her to be more involved, so I took the film off, and got a chopping board and we cut the cooking out ourselves and then shaped them with our hand, which was a little sticky, but my little girl really enjoyed doing this and watching them bake in the oven and the smell was amazing! My partner even commented on the smell when he came in, and the chunky chocolate chip and triple chocolate chip both tasted delicious, I couldn't decide which was better they were both so good.
I wouldn't bake that often but as my little girl gets older she loves helping in the kitchen, stirring pots and that so as her interest grows Ill do more with her.
I would love to see fairy buns, brownies or different flavours cakes in the Kooky Dough range or even a white chocolate chip cookie dough.
I would definitely turn to this as a quicker option of baking, and will be buying again and recommend to friends.

Thank you for Mummy Page :)

The Kooky Dough was so easy to use and they are very tasty. My 3 girls loved them . The Kooky Dough was a bit sticky when cutting them to size prior to baking. But it was so quick and easy after that. The girls were so excited at the parcel arriving and were eager to get going. I was really happy with the quality and the fact that this is an irish product. Smiles all around with the product. Thanks for letting us take part. Liz
