Getting married is a huge life-changing occasion and after you have walked down the aisle things are bound to feel a little different!

From feeling more relaxed to a even a little scared, there are nine things that tend to happen after you say 'I do'.

1. You feel grounded

There is just something so comforting about having the ring on your finger, no matter how long you have been together,

2. You feel relieved

Relieved that all the planning and organising is now finally over!

3. You feel like you are starting again

Whether you’ve been together ten years or just two, as soon as you walk down the aisle as husband and wife you feel like a whole new chapter is starting.

4. You feel more confident in yourself

Now you know that you have made a commitment to each other things like body issues can melt away.

5. You feel weird saying ‘husband’ or ‘wife’...

Well it is a huge change!

6. People look at you differently

Usually in a good way (hopefully).

7. You feel a lot more grown up

Weddings are only for adults – so how did you manage to do it...

8. You may feel sad

Not because you think that you have made a mistake, but because you have spent so long planning and preparing that it can feel weird to not have to do that!

9. Your priorities will change

Your loyalty to your partner has just taken a huge leap so don’t be surprised that you would attend your other half’s boring work night out over a girl evening of cocktails.
