Love is in the air in this fair city…
Soap star Jenny Dixon has just announced her engagement to Limerick TD Tom Neville.
The two are head over heels for each other and could not wait to share their big news with the public.
The gorgeous Jenny is best known for her role in the RTÉ soap Fair City in which she plays killer Kerri-Ann.
She has been dating Tom for nearly two years and is overjoyed to be tying the knot with the love of her life.
And it seems her fiancé planned the perfect set up for the proposal.
The happy couple recently travelled to Italy for a romantic getaway. Tom chose a breath-taking setting to pop the question, knelt on one knee, and gave his love the surprise of her life.
Is there anything more magical than a moonlit evening in Italy?
Jenny gushed on Instagram: “An unbelievably magical day! Crying and smiling! My soulmate and best friend, you’re gorgeous and I can’t wait to be your wife!”
She shared some gorgeous photos of her and her new fiancé showing off the new diamond ring with huge smiles.
The two seem over the moon with the news. Tom also posted on social media saying, “So happy and bowled over that @jennyleedixon said yes to marrying me. Thank you sincerely to all for your well wishes.”
Tom and Jenny have received support and lovely comments from TDs and actors alike. Both fellow Fair City actor Dave O’Sullivan and Minister for Health Simon Harris congratulated the pair on Twitter.
