Dad Nathan Ripperger realised that there was a certain artfulness to the requests he makes of his children, and he decided to do something decidedly genius with them – he turned them into one highly entertaining book!
The father-of-five (they are all boys, by the way) began posting his quotes online as funny photos, and decided to compile them into one collection due to their overwhelming popularity.
From “Did you put syrup on the dog?” and “We do not warm up grilled cheese in the VCR” to “Let’s not paint with milk”, Nathan’s collection of 80 quotes is enough to keep us laughing for a week.
Reflecting on his role as a parent, Nathan told Today: “When you’re a parent, after a while the absurdity just washes over you. That’s the hardest part about parenting for me – to not let yourself be so caught up with your day-to-day business of life and really just enjoy the time with your children.”
We’re sure there are many of you reading this who could add your own ridiculous quotes to Nathan’s collection!
