Any parents with teenagers will know how hard it can be to get them to seem interested or involved in a public event - and if you are the First Lady and the President of the United States it's no different it would seem!
Michelle Obama has said that she and her husband, Barack Obama, love to embarass their teenage daughters if they are looking uninterested in events.
The First Lady was speaking to US talk show, Live with Kelly and Michael, when she explained the difficulty of her daughter, Sasha and Malia, growing up as normal teenagers in the White House, "It's all the things that any parent is dealing with with teenagers, except you have to managae detail and security staffing, and you're trying to do it in a way where they don't feel out of place."
Michelle also opened up about how her and Barack get their daughters to look more involved in events - they threaten to sing and dance! "Barack and I, we're like any parents. We love to embarrass them. If they're looking a little uninvolved in an event then I'll lean in and be like, 'If you don't smile I'm going to start dancing. I'm gonna start dancing'. Then Barack is like, 'I'm going to sing ... Here I go."
