Mindy Kaling's certainly had a busy week. The Inside Out actress gave birth to her daughter Katherine exactly a seven days ago.
Usually the 38-year-old comedian throws a holiday dinner for the young women who work with her, but obviously that's a tall order this year.
The new mum's co-workers took matters into their own hands and decided to throw a You’ve Got Mail Norah Ephron-themed holiday dinner for their rom com-obsessed boss.
Mindy was ECSTATIC about the dinner, and shared a pic of the reference-laden menu with her 2.8M Instagram followers.
"Look at this menu! Look at these Nora Ephron deep cuts! (Maybe for dessert we will have coffee... Patricia? Patricia’s amazing. Patricia makes coffee nervous.)" she wrote, referencing of course Tom Hanks' girlfriend in You've Got Mail.
I'll have what she's having! We cannot get over how CREATIVE this menu is!
Fans of Mindy and the 1998 classic agreed.
"Best movie ever! You've got yourself some sweet girls right there." said one person.
A number of commenters had a hilarious addition to the menu: "That caviar is a garnish!"
We hope Mindy's holiday dinner was absolutely delightful! And yes, someone will have to organise a Nora Ephron dinner for us in the new year.
