At this time of year, it’s no surprise when our kids come home sniffling and coughing.
But it seems all those bugs are having a knock on effect with the average mum getting sick 324 times throughout their little one’s childhood.
A study of 2,000 parents found that in the space of 18 years, we mums will pick up 324 illnesses including 36 rashes and 54 colds.
18 times a year, we’ll be down for the count and even find ourselves tackling lice at least once in those 12 months.
Nearly 70pc of mums say they are more prone to illness since having a children.
The research also found that mums only have 13 days a month where they feel totally healthy but 84pc spend the majority of the other days powering through.
