Roseann Brennan's son Jake was killed after being hit by a car last June outside his Kilkenny home and she is determined to do all she can to ensure no other family has to suffer like she did.

In a bid to have the speed limit in housing estates reduced, Roseann plans to sleep outside Leinster House for three nights in a campaign which will begin on Sunday the 15th of February and end the following Wednesday.

Following her little boy's tragic death, Roseann and her family sprung into action and launched Jake's Legacy Campaign which campaigns to reduce speed limits and lobbies for the introduction of mandatory speed bumps.

Highlighting her plan on social media, Jake's mother wrote; "Jakie, in your name I am going to protest outside the Dáil from 1pm Sunday the 15th of February."

Appealing for support, Roseann went on to say: "So we are asking anyone who can spare a few hours during this duration, night or day, to please come and save our children."

Roseann plans to end her three day protest at 6.25 pm, the exact time her son passed away.
