Mother’s Day with Netflix

We know that there are only a few days throughout the year that as a mum you get to sit down and spend some quailty time with your teenager. As your little ones get older, family traditions around Mother’s Day change with your now grown-up little ones leading hectic lives. This Mother’s Day we want you to spend some quality time with your teen watching your favourite show on Netflix.

We want to know what shows you love to watch with your teen? Do you and your daughter love curling up on the couch to binge on Pretty Little Liars? Perhaps, do you and your teenage son both enjoy watching Marvels Daredevil? Or is Arrested Development the perfect show for you and your teenager to relax to in the evening?

Tell us what Netflix show you love to watch with your teen and be in with a chance to win a weekend away for you and your teen.

We are watching the Vampire Diaries - I don't really like it but we love being together. It's very hard to get time with a teen between school, study, sport and friends so this is our me time together each week. So to be honest, I'd watch a fly walking up the wall to be with her.

We watch the Carrie Diaries together every Wednesday night - its the only night my two daughters are free to watch it with me. As they've grown up and are increasingly doing other things without me and their dad, I cherish these nights together even if we are just watching Netflix.

I love that Netflix has shows that I can watch with my daughter - it doesn't have to be a gory or violent show and we can pick something that is more gentle to watch together. I also don't want to watch shows with too much sex either as I don't think either of us would be comfortable. Like some of the other mums, we watch Gossip Girl together - there are enough series and episodes for us to watch that we are always checking in to see when the other is free to watch the next show together.

We are watching Wolf Blood together - it was my son and daughters turn to pick so that's what they chose. Not to my taste but I enjoy the time together - like the other mums, it's very fun to hang out.

We love Pretty LIttle Liars - it's brilliant and me and my three girls watch it together. We have a rule too - no sneaking ahead!

That 70s show is always a crowd pleaser with our teens, but we've watched them all now, over and over, and she keeps re-watching Tongue

We mainly watch movies on Netflix, the sillier the better, my sons love Jim Carrey, so Liar Liar is always a top pick. Closely followed by Anchorman. Hilarious.

We love watching (don't laugh) the American tween type shows LOL. Like Liv and Maddie. They are young but she's a young teen and we haven't moved onto the more adult content yet together.

We have never watched Gossip GIrl on TV so we are currently wading our way through it. We sit down each week on a Tuesday night to get through 2 (possibly 3) episodes. It's fab!

We are watching 'That 70s show' and it's brilliant. If you haven't watched it yet it's a great family show to watch with your teens. So many laugh out loud moments.

We are watching more movies that shows as we did in infrequently as opposed to a set time each day/week. The kids are mad into acting, dancing etc so we've watched (wait for it) High School Musical at least 5 times (I even know the words of the songs!) and Sharpays Fabulous Adventures. Singing as we watch!

We (ahem I mean the kids) are huge One Tree Hill fans. Like so many other mothers - we are watching it when himself goes out or is in bed. It's typical American show which we love.
