We’ve all been in situations where we have been let down and had to rearrange our plans, but we don’t expect to be punished for them!

A mum in the States has been left horrified after receiving an invoice for the dinners she and her husband RSVP’d for at a friend’s wedding.

Jessica and her husband had intended to go to the wedding, but when their babysitter bailed on them at the last minute, they had no choice but to stay at home.

While any other parent out there could sympathise with Jessica’s predicament, it seems that the bride and groom could not, and they sent a bill for the ‘herb-crusted walleye’ that the couple were unable to indulge in at the wedding reception.

Jessica went on to upload a photo of the ‘bill’ to her social media channels, revealing that she has been ordered to not only fork out $79.50 (service charge and tax has conveniently been included) but also explain why she was a no-show at the wedding.

Speaking to local media after her post went viral, Jessica insisted that she has no intention of paying the bill.

“I guess I don’t know what the right answer would have been, what the right thing to do would have been,” she said.
