Earlier today, we reported on how actress Jacqueline Jossa had been on the receiving end of cruel online abuse over her daughter, Ella, and now we have yet another similarly shocking story to share.

An Australian mum has revealed how she received anonymous hate mail from ‘friends’ who were fed up of seeing updates, photos and videos of her child online.

Mum Jade Ruthven couldn’t believe it when she found the letter shoved in through her letterbox last weekend; unsigned, but pretty brutal in its criticism.

“I have got together with a few of the girls and we are all SO OVER your running commentary of your life and every single thing Addy does. Look we all have kids that we are besotted with – guess what – every parent thinks their kid is the best ever. But we don’t ram it down everyone else’s neck!!!” wrote the author.

They went on to draw an example, continuing: “She wears a new outfit – well take a photo and send it PRIVATELY to the person who gave it to her – not to everyone!!!!! She crawls off the mat – we DON’T care!!! She’s six months old – BIG DEAL!!!”

Even more horrifyingly, the author writes: “We can’t wait for you to get back to work – maybe you won’t have time of be on Facebook quite so much….we’re doing this to let you know that people really think.”

Naturally, Jade was left shocked and hurt by the letter, and has received plenty of support from fellow mums on parenting Facebook groups since sharing the letter’s contents.

She has insisted, however, that she will not be shying away from posting on Facebook about her daughter in future.

“No way did I feel self-conscious or consider changing my online activity. That’s how I think this person/ these people can’t be that close to me. If they were, they would know that I would never take this lying down, start crying in the corner and then take myself off Facebook,” she said.

We’re glad that Jade isn’t going to let this shocking letter get to her. What a thing to do to someone!
