New MummyPages App gives mums Black Friday savings everyday

Today, MummyPages, Ireland’s biggest online parenting community launches the country’s first  rewards platform exclusively for mums. The new MummyPages app effectively makes everyday a Black Friday with tailor-made promotional offers designed to make both mum and family life more rewarding.

Exclusively procured for MummyPages mums, each savings deal is not be found elsewhere, and will help families to save thousands of euro every year on their everyday and seasonal spends. With over 150 partners secured to date, the estimated annual savings for families subscribed to the app is currently over €5,000.

Highlights from recent MummyPages research shows mums are savvier shoppers than ever before and with even greater spending power:

  • Average of €1,242 spent by mums from Black Friday through to the January Sales

  • 88 percent of mums said they actively sourced discounts or promotional offers when spending

  • 72 percent of mums were influenced to make a purchase with a retailer based on their promotional pricing

  • 63 percent of mums did most of their Christmas seasonal spending online

  • 31 percent of mums started their Christmas shopping from October

  • Gifts, food, clothing, beauty, toys and technology were the most popular discounted spend categories pre-Christmas

  • Electrical items, home decor, travel and clothing were the most popular discounted spend categories post-Christmas

  • Average of €239 spent by mums on family day trips and children’s activities over the Christmas school holidays   

Looking ahead to spending patterns throughout the year the biggest pressure points cited by mums include pregnancy and new baby, Communion and Confirmation, back-to-school, school holidays and mid-term breaks, birthdays, parties and Christmas.

With mum managing most of the day-to-day spending for the family, and the biggest influencer for all big ticket purchases such including holidays and homewares, the new MummyPages rewards app is highly targeted to enhance family life.

There are currently over retail 200 partners offering exclusive discounts for mums through the app with a combined total redemption value of over €5,000 in savings. Mums will pay a nominal annual subscription of €60 for access to the offers with partners such as Circle K, Just Eat, Peter Mark, Easons, Disneyland Paris, Moves @ cinemas, The Health Store, Art & Hobby, Flowers.ie, iClothing, Rocks Jewellers, Bella Baby, Mamas & Papas, River Medical, Pharmadirect.ie, Petstop and numerous Irish family days out, restaurants and hotel breaks.

Schools, clubs and charities will be afforded the opportunity to fundraise for their individual needs by receiving the MummyPages unique activation cards to unlock the app at a 33 percent discount. This will allow each mum purchasing the app through their school, club or charity, the chance to receive a donation of €20 for every card sold at the RRP of €60 annual subscription fee.
