US Olympian Bode Miller has revealed the devastating news that his 19-month-old daughter has sadly passed away.
The skier explained that his daughter lost her life following a tragic drowning accident.
It is understood the toddler fell into the swimming pool at their neighbour’s house in Orange County, California.
Medics tried their best to revive the young girl, but unfortunately, she passed away in hospital.
The heartbroken dad took to Instagram to share the agonising news.
He wrote, “We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday.”
The dad continued, “Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this.”
“Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to its fullest every day. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time.”
Bode and his wife Morgan are expecting their second child in October. He also has another son and daughter from two previous relationships.
