She left us doing a double-take last week, when she stepped out on the red carpet with her lookalike 21-year-old daughter, and now the mother-daughter duo are speaking candidly on a very personal topic.

Presenter and chat show host Lorraine Kelly and her daughter, Rosie, have given their first joint interview, to OK! magazine, with the pair opening up about the heartbreak of Lorraine’s miscarriage.

Admitting that being a mum is what she considers to be her ‘proper job’, the 55-year-old admitted that she would have liked to have more children.

“Another baby would have been super but, hey, it didn’t happen. I had a miscarriage when Rosie was about five,” she said.

Rosie, who is studying journalism, revealed that she has vague memories of the heartbreaking time.

“I do remember. We were in Dundee. I was in the car with Dad following the ambulance. I was okay, though – I had no idea what was going on,” said Rosie.

Lorraine’s interview with Rosie was accompanied by a photoshoot of the pair, which took place in their London home.

Rosie went on to admit that while her mother’s fame was ‘confusing’ when she was growing up, she has never known life to be any different.
