Prince Harry pays touching tribute to Diana at Archies christening

The christening of Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor took place this weekend, but there was one very important person missing from the celebrations, his grandmother Princess Diana.

There’s no doubt her absence was felt massively at the momentous event, especially by Prince Harry. However, Diana’s youngest son ensured his mum was still part of the day.

The doting dad honoured his late mum in the most subtle but touching way. Harry’s tribute was revealed when Archie’s christening photo was posted to their official social media accounts.

Harry, Meghan and baby Archie are sitting on a green chair in the family photo which has a special link to Diana.

Diana also used this chair when she posed for Harry’s christening photos in 1984.

Harry also ensured Diana’s family was honoured by inviting his aunts Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes to his son’s christening.

Diana’s sisters stood proudly behind their nephew in the christening photo.

Their inclusion in the photo is a major nod to Diana and proves how close Harry has remained to his mum’s family.

They were not included in Prince George, Princess Charlotte or Prince Louis’ christening photos.

The new dad has always spoken out about honouring his mum and continuing her legacy.

We’re sure the Duke of Sussex was missing his mum more than ever on Saturday, but Harry knows his late mum is there in spirit.

“She’s with us on this - on this crazy journey together,” the dad previously revealed.

Prince Charles, The Duchess of Cornwall, Doria Ragland and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also attended Archie’s christening on July 6.
