It’s safe to say that Princess Charlotte is in for a pretty sweet life, even just due to the fact that she is the daughter of such loving parents as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
According to the latest news, however, it seems that the tiny tot is already one of the most powerful members of the royal family, too.
A business valuation consultancy has evaluated two-year-old Princess Charlotte’s net worth, and the figures are enough to leave us weeping!
Prepare yourselves; because, according to Brand Finance, the adorable little princess is already worth a staggering £3 billion. We’ll give you a few seconds to recover before we explain exactly HOW this little girl has managed to amass such power!
The figure is the result of extensive analysis of the ‘Charlotte effect’; essentially, the ‘selling power’ that Princess Charlotte has displayed ever since the day she entered the world, on May 2, 2015.
Let’s break it down; Charlotte has been a trend-setter ever since day one.
When a newborn Charlotte appeared on the steps of the Lindo Wing on the day of her birth, wrapped in a white woollen shawl, style-savvy mums went into overdrive. The company, GH Hurt & Son Ltd., reported having to double their production overnight.
And it hasn’t stopped there. A British company called My1styears.com, who produce booties similar to those worn by Charlotte in her family’s ski holiday portrait, saw a 97 per cent increase in sales after the photo was released.
The Charlotte effect was in full swing earlier this month too, when Charlotte’s second birthday portrait was released. The adorable yellow John Lewis cardigan she wore in the shot – which was retailing at just €12 – sold out in mere minutes.
So, it’s safe to say that if Princess Charlotte ever takes an interest in a fashion career, she is in an amazing position to please the masses!
Interestingly, the princess’ net worth has been set higher than that of her big brother, Prince George; the three-year-old’s net worth apparently stands at £2.4 billion.
While these stats are certainly interesting (it’s always intriguing to see who is influencing the trends, and how and why), it’s worth remembering that these gorgeous little royals are just that – little; and ‘net worth’ calculations are rather irrelevant!
