Thank you so much for including me in the Robert Roberts Detox Infusion tea trial, I was delighted to be selected.
I've never been into herbal teas and was addicted to my cup of regular tea (and 5 biscuits) when the kids go to bed at night. I had decided it was time to get healthy for the new year and spotted the add for the trial so it was perfect timing.

Since it arrived in the post I've being drinking two cups a day and I love it. The taste is very mild and is really enjoyable to drink. I've never bought herbal tea for myself but have tried a few different ones when away in hotels and always think they taste too strong so I'm delighted with how much I'm enjoying Robert Roverts Detox Infusion tea. The hit of apple is very mild but leaves a lovely aftertaste. I haven't had a cup of regular tea (or the biscuits and goodies that go with it) in almost two weeks and I've lost half a stone. I am being conscious of other changes in my diet too but when I drink this detox tea I don't get the craving for sweet stuff that I get with regular tea so its a win win! I'll definately be buying this tea.

I also tried the Blackcurrent Pu-erh Tea but it wasn't for me :( The taste is just too strong for me and I find it leaves a strange aftertaste. I definately wouldn't buy this tea for myself but it personal taste so I'll bring it to work and see what my colleagues think of it.

As a regular drinker of herbal teas, I've enjoyed drinking both the detox and pu-erh tea. I tend to drink herbal more so than fruit, so I was surprised to find the mix was quite nice.

The apple detox is standing out in front of my usual Pukka detox as it is a very smooth drink which I've enjoyed both hot and cold(mother of three, tea goes cold lol). I like the clean taste that doesn't leave your mouth dry like some nettle infused drinks.

I have previously tried the pu-erh and although I like it, it wouldn't be a regular favourite on my list as I find it a little bitter.

I intend on keeping the detox tea on my shopping list, but would be a more 'occassional' shopper for the pu-erh

I had the honour of trying two teas by Robedrt Roberts. Being a busy mom having time to sit and really taste tea was a challenge in itself but well worth it.
I drink herbal teas on a regular basis, but had never tried this make before so I was really looking forward to the taste test. I find some of the other brand of herbal teas to taste very herbal and to be an acquired taste so I would normally only drink fruit teas unless I really want to clear the system or I am about to go into labour and the good old Raspberry leaf tea comes out. Now that is a wonderful tea for that. I would normally buy herbal tea in a health food shop and not in my regular supermarket shop, so it was interesting to test a brand I could buy on my weekly shop.
Therefore, I tried the Robert Roberts Apple Flavour Detox tea first. I found it hard to find where the instructions on how to brew the tea were located, I knew it was on the side somewhere but the font was all the same on both sides. Perhaps changing it slightly would really help, as I had no problem on the Blackcurrant Flavour Pu'erh Tea.
Upon opening the foil packaging, I was greeted by an overpowering smell of peppermint, not something I was expecting from an Apple flavoured drink. I boiled the kettle and added the boiled water to the tea bag and let the infusion begin, the tea began to smell of apple. It was a lovely refreshing smell so I was eager to try but waited the stated time. Upon taking the first sip I was so disappointed that there was only a hint of apple, and that the tea basically tasted like any other herbal tea. I did notice that on the box it did say "a herbal infusion with a hint of apple". I would not class that as apple flavour. Also, apple was way down the list of ingredients.
Later on, I tried the Robert Roberts Blackcurrant Flavour Pu'erh Tea. The instructions were a lot easier to read on this box. Upon trying it, I felt it lacked any wow factor; it was just a pleasant fruit tea, that I could easily drink, like any other on the market.
If I had to choose one of the Robert Roberts Speciality teas to buy it would be the Apple Flavour Detox Tea. Why? Well it tastes and feels like it is doing some good, whereas the Blackcurrant Flavoured Pu'erh tea just doesn't appear to be anything different to what is already available.

Thank you for choosing me for the trial. :)

I was sooo looking forward to being part of this trial. I'm a coffee addict, and really only drink tea on occasion with a cooked breakfast for example. So .... after hearing all the health benefits of herbal tea, I wanted to know what all the fuss was about. I've seen these Robert Robert teas in the supermarket, but never been brave enough to buy them.

I must say, both teas are really lovely, very easy to drink and refreshing. I'm now drinking a hearbal tea every moring instead of my coffee and I've definitely noticed a big big difference. I'm not so tired and headachey first thing in the morning, which is absolutley fantastic. I'm still have a few cups of coffee a day, but as well as the tea in the morning, I will occassionally substitue with a tea during the day. (practically unheard of for me).

Favourite was probably the apple detox infusion - just ridiculously easy to drink, and I love apple flavour anyway. I'm now buying it every week. Totally worth every penney, and if I knew this tiny change in my diet would make such a big difference I would have done it years ago.

The blackcurrant was just ok, I'm not too fond of blackcurrant flavour anyway, so I didn't expect this to be my favouriate. Although it's still very drinkable. That said, the hubby loves this one, and has me buying him this one.

So from our family we are definite converts. Really great product, so easy to include in your diet and has made a real difference for me. One other thing ... with herbal tea, I'm much less likely, in fact I never eat goodies with the herbal tea ... never really thought about it, but a bikkie just doesn't go as well, which is fantastic news for me (and my belly).

Thanks so much for letting me take part.

I love, love this tea. Have had it every morning since it arrived. I do drink a lot of herbal teas but never first thing in the morning. I drink mostly camomile & green teas - but I've added the Apple flavour detox infustion tea to the list. I wasn't as fond of the Roberts Blackcurrant Flavour Pu’erh Tea - but I don't really like blackcurrant so I'd say thats the reason for this, but would def drink Pu'erh Tea again.

I really really enjoyed this trial, thanks for including me. I don't normally drink herbal teas - last time I tried one I really didn't enjoy it, but so many of my friends talk about drinking it all the time and the health benefits, I thought this would be the perfect time to give it a go. And I'm a convert.

Robert Roberts Apple Flavour Detox Infusion Tea is just gorgeous - I'm now drinking this every day. It's really refreshing and tasty. I'm enjoying the blackcurrant Pu'erh tea although I'm drinking it less than the apple tea. In the last few weeks of using it, I've reduced my intake of normal tea and coffee and I'm really finding a difference - no headaches and much less groggy. I really never thought it would make such a difference, but it has.

Thanks again for letting me take part in this - I'm buying the Apple Infusion tea now on a weekly basis. The hubby however, is a work in progress. He's very fond of his normal tea, but I haven't given up yet. LOL

I have tried both teas and they are both really nice. I am a fan of herbal teas anyway, and over the last few years have almost completed removed standard tea/coffee from my daily diet. I have tried lots of brands and flavours, and I can say that Robert Roberts Apple Infusion tea ranks up there with the best. It's very light and refreshing, I do love apple flavour so perhaps that makes me biased, but it really is yummy. I'm also a big fan of Pu'erh tea - it's an acquired taste though, and when I first tasted it years ago, I didn't enjoy it. But I'm now a big fan, the Robert Roberts blackcurrant flavour Pu'erh tea was equally nice. Blackcurrant is my favourite flavour, but I have to say, it was still enjoyable.

I got my mom and hubby to try both teas too, and they both loved the apple infusion. It's definitely going to be on our shopping list from now on.

Thanks a million MummyPages and Robert Roberts for including me/us in this trial. Really enjoyed it.

Thanks for including me in this trial.

I must admit, I've never ever tried any kind of herbal tea, I always presumed I wouldn't like it, so it was nice to try something genuinely new. And it's actually quite nice, I was so surprised.

Both flavours are great, the Apple Infusion probably wins out on preference, but the Blackcurrant Pu-erh is not that bad at all - and I really thought I would dislike it, friends told me it was bitter and difficul to drink, but I have to say, I didn't find it like that at all.

I'm now drinking the Apple Infusion every day - I haven't quite quit the coffee habit, but I'm substituting a few cups, which I think is a good thing. Well it's a start anyway.
Will definitely be buying both teas again - and I'll be checking to see if Robert Roberts have any other flavours for me to try.

Thanks again.

I don't really drink tea or cofffee at all, just water and fruit juice normally, with the very occasional tea. But I thought I'd give this a go as my mother in law swears by it and is always asking me to try it. I often have hot water and lemon, so I thought the Apple Infusion Detox was absolutely gorgeous. It's obviuosly a much fuller taste and flavour than hot water, but it was surprisingly easy to drink. The blackcurrant Pu'erh tea was ok, it's probably not going to be a feature on my shopping list, but it was perfectly fine to drink on occasion.

I will definitely buy Robert Roberts Apple Infusion Tea again and I've told the mother in law about it too ... but she told me she already buys it!

Thanks a lot for allowing me take part in the trial. Great to try new things.

Thanks for including us in this trial.

I found the Robert Roberts Apple Infusion Detox tea is a great alternative to normal tea, which lately I had been finding I've been drinking an awful lot of. It has a really nice taste, and it was really really easy to drink. I have a cup in the morning and afternoon instead of my normal tea, and it's on the shopping list.

The blackcurrant Pu-erh tea, not so much. It was nice enough, but I don't like blackcurrant, so didn't really enjoy the taste. And it's a bit of a heavier taste than the apple tea.

I gave my sister a taste of both teas however, and she was the exact opposite, loves the Pu'erh tea but could take or leave the Apple Infusion Detox.

So between us we loved them both!

Thanks again

Hi MummyPages!
Thanks for including me in the trial. I’m a bit of a herbal teat junkie (I have everything from sleepy tea to chocolate tea in my cupboard) so I was delighted to try out these teas from Robert Roberts.
The Apple Flavour Detox Infusion Tea was fabulous. I found it really refreshing and am now having it in the mornings with my toast. I feel like it’s a great way to start the day instead of coffee. I feel much more awake in the mornings after the tea and I will definitely be buying his again.
I like the blackcurrant Pu’erh tea and I think I’ll continue to drink it occasionally but I much prefer the apple flavour. I’ve had Pu’erh tea before and didn’t like it at all but this was much nicer with the blackcurrant flavour.
Next step is to wean the husband off the coffee and onto the Apple Flavour Detox Infusion tea! x

Thank you MummyPages and Robert Roberts for inviting me to take part in this trial. I’m a little bit of a coffee addict but have been trying to cut down for 2013 (with little success up until now) so this tea was the perfect opportunity for me to cut back on the caffeine.
I’ve never had any kind of herbal tea before and to be honest I was a little apprehensive about trying my first cup. I started with the Apple Flavour Detox tea. I was very pleasantly surprised! For some reason I thought herbal teas would taste like grass (not sure why) but this was delicious and really easy to drink. I loved the apple flavour and found it really refreshing. For one whole week I cut back to just one coffee a day (sorry but can’t resist having one during the afternoon slump) and now have 2 cups of the apple tea every day. I used to drink 4 – 5 cups of coffee every day so this is a huge change for me! I no longer feel sluggish or groggy in the morning. I feel much more alert and full of energy. Had I known such a small change could make such a big difference I would have done this years ago!
I tried the blackcurrant too but I’m not a big fan of blackcurrant flavour. It was fine and drinkable but I much prefer the apple flavour if I’m honest. My husband loved the blackcurrant though so I’ll be buying this for him for now on.
Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity to try something new. If it weren’t for the trial I probably would have never bothered to buy herbal tea but I’ll definitely be buying from now on.
