This week, it was the turn of singer Mariah Carey, who was said to be “overjoyed” to be expecting a baby with billionaire boyfriend James Packer.
However, just a day after the reports surfaced, the 45-year-old mother-of-two has slammed the rumours, with a rep confirming that she is not expecting her third child.
Responding to the rumour on entertainment website Just Jared, Mariah’s rep said: “It’s false reporting, nothing more.”
The reports were first published by New Idea magazine, which claimed: “Mariah found out the baby news recently and they’re overjoyed at the prospect of being parents.”
“She adores James and it’s well-known within her social circle that she would love to have children with him,” the reporter claimed.
Mariah is mum to four-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-husband Nick Cannon, and the tiny tots recently made a memorable appearance, as the When You Believe singer accepted her Walk of Fame star.
Mariah and presenter Nick, who married in 2008, split last year following weeks of speculation.
