Welcoming your child into the world is such a precious moment. Many fathers would probably say nothing could keep them from witnessing their little one's birth.
Except, maybe, Kanye West. The famed rapper is always living life outside the norm.
In a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Kim Kardashian West mentioned that she and Kourtney were in the delivery room when the surrogate gave birth to Chicago, but Kanye missed out.
And honestly, we would never have guessed why.
"I made Kourtney be in the room - we had a connecting room, and [Kanye] was in there playing Connect 4 with his friends and not really paying attention," Kim told the comedian, "And I was like, ‘Kourtney, I need you to be here with me.’”
We... are at a loss for words. In fairness though, it is a very entertaining game.
Ellen asked the obvious question, saying, “Did he stop playing Connect 4 at some point?”
“It’s his favourite game. He’s the best at it. I’m so bad at it,” Kim replied.
Well, it's good she stayed and watched her third child come into the world. It's much better than being beat at Connect 4 (but maybe not quite as good as winning).
Besides Kanye's Connect 4 antics, life in the Kardashian West family seems to be going well.
In fact, the arrival of baby Chicago has had an especially positive influence on four-year-old North!
"She's better than she was with Saint," the 37-year-old noted, "I mean, there was a shocking moment yesterday. She literally had a can of popcorn and was like, ‘Saint, do you want some?’ And I was like ‘What!?’
"You gotta understand, she does not share with Saint, she does not hardly talk to Saint, so that was such a big moment in my household.”
How sweet! As well, two-year-old Saint has taken to his new role of big brother with the greatest of ease.
“He’s nicer than North, I will say that," the mum shared, "He loves his little sister. He’s so sweet with her. I always have to watch out for him - he smothers her, and he has this really big hair so he just jumps in her crib.”
Aw! That visual is simply too cute.
