Did Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell just get engaged? That's the question her fans are asking after the mum-of-one's latest intriguing Instagram post.
Stephanie posted a photo of her sparkly glittery manicure on Instagram last night but it was her diamond ring on a certain finger which sparked a lot of speculation in the comments section.
Fans believe that the pair are giving their relationship another go for the sake of their son Caben-Albi, and that the ring is an engagement ring. "Wedding ring?" asked one eager fan. "Engaged?" said another.
However, another fan pointed out that Stephanie was previously seen wearing the ring on the middle finger of her right hand, suggesting she’d just moved the jewel while having her manicure.
Another wrote: “I own the same set of rings as they were a Christmas gift, they are not engagement or wedding rings, she can wear them on whatever finger she chooses.”
It seems a bit unlikely as Jeremy and Stephanie are in two different countries at the moment and Jeremy is believed to be in rehab.
However, Steph’s next post confirmed that the Irish model is certainly on her mind. The former Hollyoaks actress also posted another snap to the social media site, showing herself and Jeremy doting over their son while Jeremy embraces Stephanie. Tellingly, Steph captioned the snap "my family."
Jeremy returned to Ireland recently following the deaths of his dad and aunt and an alleged altercation with Stephanie. It’s been reported the young dad has checked into rehab to get help for his issues according to The Sun.
The model wrote a heartfelt post on Instagram to let fans and followers he was taking a break from social media to deal with some issues.
“For the record, nobody dislikes me more than me… I’m not perfect and I acted in a way that has been irresponsible.
“I’ve let family, friends, management and work down, I just hope I can wipe a clean slate and come back with a second chance.”
Stephanie also tweeted her support for Jeremy.
"Today is the day. I’m so proud of you for finally doing this. Do it for me and Caben but most importantly do it for yourself”, she wrote.
“I know you got this now. Say goodbye to your demons and start a new lease of life with happiness. I have every faith in you.”
Whether the two are actually engaged remains to be seen, but that manicure photo is definitely getting people talking.
