The story of a teen barista who stuck up for a breastfeeding mum being berated by another customer has gone viral.
Mum, Julia Wykes, had called into Starbucks for a coffee when her baby became hungry. Proceeding to feed her little one close to the counter, she overheard a woman say to the young barista behind the counter: “Could you get that woman to stop doing that in public. It is disgusting!”
Horrified, the mum then prepared herself as the barista approached her. However, much to her delight, the young man gave her a voucher for a free drink on top of giving her a free refill.
People across the internet have been touched by this young man’s efforts to stick up for a breastfeeding mums and the story has been spread far and wide.
