The fifth annual ‘Straighten Up Ireland’ week takes place from 14th - 18th October and will be encouraging mums and their families to straighten up.

Slumping in front of computer screens or televisions, constantly being bent over smart phones and carrying heavy school bags everyday can lead to bad posture in both adults and children.

The campaign, which coincides with World Spine Day on Wednesday 16th, aims to improve posture and raise spinal awareness. By simply sitting up straight, you will instantly feel and look better.

Simple exercises like the twisting star, the hummingbird, the rocker and the shaker can stabilise core muscle groups, enhance health and prevent spinal disability.

The fun descriptions will ensure the whole family is keen to get involved.

The exercise instructions can be found at www.chiropractic.ie
