Is it teething time for your little one?

People are constantly being reminded of the dangers of bringing children and babies near the train or underground tracks, and a terrifying new video has demonstrated exactly why.

CCTV footage uploaded to YouTube this week shows the terrifying moment that a buggy containing an 18-month-old girl rolled out onto train tracks in Melbourne, Australia.

The little girl is being minded by her grandmother when her buggy is wheeled out onto the train platform, but after the woman takes her hands away and directs her attention elsewhere, it only takes a matter of seconds for the buggy to wheel off and head straight onto the tracks.

The buggy is thrown onto the tracks face-down, with the poor defenceless child still strapped in.

It takes a few moments for the child’s grandmother to realise what has happened, and eventually, for her to get down onto the tracks in what is an extremely dangerous rescue.

Thankfully, aided by other adults nearby, the woman manages to get her granddaughter back to the safety of the platform.

Check out the terrifying moment in the footage below. This should serve as a stark warning to all parents out there.
