Eczema or atopic dermatitis is a chronic allergic condition which develops where skin is genetically predisposed. In almost half of all cases, patients experience its onset in childhood, before reaching 6-months old and, typically, before the age of 5. The progression and continuation of symptoms into adulthood appears to concern only a small number (between 10 and 15%) of children affected by Eczema. The more extensive the lesions during the first three to six months, the greater the duration and severity of the condition.

Wash
