When we’re making our vows to our other half, we often tell them that we would move mountains to make them happy – but what about digging through rubbish?!

US singer and reality star Nick Lachey has proven himself as ‘husband goals’ this week, after doing just that for his wife, Vanessa!

The star left his fans equal parts impressed and disgusted when he took to Instagram, to reveal the lengths – or, rather, the depths – he went to, to find Vanessa’s missing wedding ring.

Posting a photo of the diamond band sitting in the middle of dirty nappies, stray hair and rubbish, the devoted husband joked: “This is true love after six years of marriage…digging through dirty diapers and trash to find your wife’s missing wedding ring!”

He went on to label the photo as ‘success’ – we could find other words for it, ourselves!

Nick and Vanessa, who met when she starred in a music video of his in 2006, have been married for almost six years. They are parents to three children: four-year-old son Camden, two-year-old daughter Brooklyn, and six-month-old son Phoenix.

While we hope that Nick had gloves on while he went digging through all of that rubbish, either way, his wife recently made it clear that she appreciates everything he does for the family!

Taking to social media to pay tribute to her husband on Father’s Day, the 36-year-old shared a gorgeous photo of the former boyband star with their three children.

“I’ve said it before…you are the reason for EVERYTHING good in my life. But, also, you are ‘our’ EVERYTHING!” she gushed.

“Thank you for your unconditional, magical love. We LOVE you to the moon and back, and back again! Happy Father’s Day, Daddy!!”

Vanessa also previously paid tribute to Nick’s support as a partner in their shared journey through parenthood.

“I one thousand per cent know I couldn’t have done this without him,” she told entertainment channel E!

“And that’s why I married the guy. It’s a partnership, and when he’s busy in New York, I’m on mommy-duty; and when he comes back, we share the duty; and when I’m doing stuff, he’s on daddy duty.

“It’s just comforting to have that support system. Every single day, I’m grateful for him, but I’m also grateful to the single parents out there who do it – it blows my mind.”

They sound like the ultimate team!
