Myopia can be corrected with the prescription of glasses. As your child gets older and is responsible enough you can consider the use of contact lenses. Laser eye surgery has become increasingly common in adults as a means of correcting myopia.

Depending on the extent of your child’s eye problem, she may have to wear glasses full time or only when distance vision is required such as watching the television.

If your child has been diagnosed with myopia then it is important to take her for regular eye tests as her prescription will change as she grows.
