Any working mum knows the difficulty of wanting to be there for our kids but also having to deal with professional obligations.
Victoria Beckham certainly knows what it's like to be pulled in multiple directions. She and husband David Beckham are loving parents to four children - and she has a fashion empire to run.
The designer discussed how she balances her professional life and family lives at the Forbes Women's Summit in New York on Thursday, Hello! Magazine reports.
"I try really, really hard. I try hardest to be the best mother," the 44-year-old told the audience.
"I am trying to be the best wife and the best professional. When I get home I try to put the phone down and spend time with the children and spend time with David."
She praised David for his help, which allows her to walk the tightrope between family time and work.
"I have the support of an incredible husband. We really are equal with everything we do at home with the children," Posh Spice explained, "When I'm away he's the one doing the school run and doing the cooking."
The Spice Girl said she tries to keep family life separate from her work as much as possible, but cheekily admitted, "I've been known to hide in the bathroom at weekends just to send a little email."
We know that feeling!
Victoria works hard not only for her own success but also in hopes of inspiring her children - especially Harper.
The mum said of her six-year-old daughter, "When I take Harper to school I tell her, 'Harper you're a girl and you can do anything'... She's a strong woman... She wants to be an inventor. She's a strong smart woman. A little woman."
