Kym Marsh has paid a touching tribute to her youngest child, daughter Polly, for helping her through her grief over losing baby Archie.

The 41-year-old opened up in a new interview, just weeks after dedicating her British Soap Awards victory to her beloved son.

“Polly is my little miracle,” Kym, who is also mum to David and Emily, told the Daily Mirror.

Polly was born in 2011, at 33 weeks, and Kym previously admitted that she thought she might lose her.

“She is now six, and there were times when I was pregnant when I didn’t think we were going to have her, and we nearly lost her several times,” she explained.

“She is a little whirlwind. From the second she opens her eyes in the morning, she is just energy.

“She loves life, and to see her, I think, ‘Thank God for you.’ We all feel like that about Polly.”

Kym has previously spoken candidly about losing Archie shortly after he was born, 21 weeks into her pregnancy, in 2009.

“While I’ll never get over losing him, now I find comfort in thinking that Archie gave me Polly – if I hadn’t lost him, the doctors wouldn’t have monitored me as closely when I was pregnant with Polly, which means I could have lost her,” she previously said.

This year, the actress and devoted mum made the brave decision to take on a miscarriage storyline on Coronation Street, for which she was lauded.

Accepting her Best Female Dramatic Performance accolade at the Soap Awards recently, Kym dedicated her win to her precious ‘angel’ Archie.

“It was perhaps the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to do in my career. It took us back to places that we never really wanted to go to again, but we did because we wanted to tell the story,” she explained.

“As we are sitting here enjoying ourselves, someone is losing their baby. I’m so proud of the show for telling the story in its entirety, reaching out to people and breaking the silence and the taboo.”

Well done to Kym for speaking out so candidly about her loss – we are sure she is helping a lot of women going through a difficult time right now.
