What toys can I buy for my four month old?

4/5 (1 rating)
As your baby grows, you will notice that she begins to interact with the world more. While she is still likely to love a mobile and other toys that you bought for her a few months ago, there are new toys you can add to the collection.

If your child already has a play mat, then this is a great time to let her spend some ‘tummy time’ on it. You will notice that your child uses his or her hands to bat at toys now, and tries to put them in her mouth. Mirrors are another great toy for children this age – although you do need to buy a child safe, unbreakable one.

Soft books are another great buy for children this age, and you’ll probably also find that toys with buttons, that make a sound when pressed, are a big hit! Hand or foot rattles are another good choice, and can help to make your child more aware of what his or her limbs are doing.

Even household objects, like a plastic container filled with rice to shake and rattle, or plastic clothes pegs can be fun for your child to play with – just avoid anything with small parts, as they are choking hazards.
