Those of us who suffer from crippling period pain know it’s no joke having to deal with cramps and go about our daily lives.

However, Whoppi Goldberg thinks medical marijuana may be able to help, and she has even co-founded Whoppi & Maya, a company that produces medical marijuana products especially for women.

Working in partnership with Maya Elisabeth of Om Edibles, a medical marijuana company in northern California, the Sister Act star told USA Today, that she wants to go slow with her new line.

“I don’t want this to be a joke to people. It’s not a joke to women.”

Whoppi & Maya produces a balm, a tincture, sipping chocolate and a bath soak aimed at reducing period pain and cramps, and all are infused with marijuana.

“This is a product specifically just to get rid of discomfort,” Whoopi told Vanity Fair.

The brand is only available in California as it is illegal in other States and beyond.
