Country singer Carrie Underwood revealed on Twitter that she is expecting her first child, with a little help from her furry friends.
This is the first child for Carrie and hockey player Mike Fisher, who married in 2010. Their baby is due in next spring.
Carrie first came to attention when she won the fourth series of American Idol in 2005, but she quickly shot to fame as a successful country music singer.
She has won six Grammy’s and sold over 15 million albums across the world.
Taking to Twitter, the 31-year-old singer posted a picture of herself with her two dogs, wearing t-shirts saying “I’m going to be a big brother” and “I’m going to be a big sister”.
The picture was captioned:
“In honour of 'Labour' Day...Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier!"
The couple released a statement about their happy news:
“We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us.”
