Just yesterday, we shared a report detailing how a couple had saved the life of a little girl they found stuck in a hot car, and now a little boy has helped out another tot.

According to reports, a five-year-old boy – rather aptly dressed in a Batman costume – helped to rescue a one-year-old girl who was trapped in a hot car.

The incident unfolded yesterday in a supermarket car park in East Sussex, as a couple were unpacking their shopping. They panicked when their doors mysteriously locked with the keys inside – with little girl Iris asleep on the back seat.

Police arrive on the scene afterwards, and when they were unable get into the car, they decided to smash the back-window in. However, when each of the adults found themselves too big to fit in through the hole, little Zavi Ahmed – who was nearby with his mum – volunteered to retrieve the keys.

The five-year-old, who happened to be dressed in his beloved Batman costume on the day, managed to save the day with his brave act.

“A policeman put his jumper down on the window to protect him from the glass and Batman crawled in to fetch the keys. I was so proud. He was a true superhero and I’m so grateful to him,” said Caroline Penny, who was minding Iris when the incident occurred.

Well done to Zavi.
