It’s been a tough year for Madonna and Guy Ritchie, with relations turning sour over the custody of their son Rocco, but it seems the drama could be over for the former couple.

According to US entertainment site TMZ, the Music singer has finally reached a settlement in her custody battle with the English movie director.

While the exact details of the settlement have not been revealed, it is reported that 16-year-old Rocco will be schooled in London with his father, and will receive ‘regular’ visits from his mother.

This marks the end of a turbulent time for Madonna and Ritchie, who split in 2008 after eight years of marriage.

It all began last year, when Rocco chose to stay in the UK with his father, when he was supposed to be accompanying Madonna on tour in the US.

When Rocco reportedly refused to leave his father’s side, Madonna went to court claiming that previously-agreed custody arrangements had been breached.

While the judge ordered for Rocco to return to New York, he stated that a full hearing would need to be held, in order to flesh out more permanent terms.

At the time. Madonna shared her distress over the situation during a concert, telling the audience: “We all go through challenging times in our life, and that includes me. I, too, go through challenging times in my life, and right now is one of them.”

Let’s hope the exes can move forward with no ill-feeling.
