Maths is definitely one of those love it or hate it subjects that we had to endure in school.

A tricky subject for a lot of people, many of us are still left stumped when helping our own kids with their homework, something the latest viral post proves.

Ten-year-old pupils from a school in Glossop were given the task of trying to solve the below maths question – a task that left plenty of parents baffled as to how to answer it.

According to Manchester Evening News, a 43-year-old dad took to Facebook to share the equation asking if anyone knew the answer – he reportedly got A-levels in maths in economic.

Taking to Facebook, he wrote:  “My son’s grandma had spent a while helping him with his homework and most of it was straightforward but this one question left her stumped. I then spent an hour or so trying to work it out but found it impossible. I even sent it to a friend who got a 1st class degree in economics and they were baffled by it as well."

“A couple of friends are maths teachers too so I’ve sent it to them but so far I’ve heard nothing back. I really do think it is impossible and it is certainly not something a ten-year-old can answer. It just does not make sense.”

Hmmm, does anyone know the answer to it?

SHARE so we can all finally figure out the question.
