Her story has touched the lives of people all over the world, and it appears that many of them are keen to reach out and show their support for baby Ayla.

The three-month-old - who was in a car crash that killed her parents, former New Zealand rugby star Jerry Collins and wife Alana Madill – has received thousands in donations towards her future.

Ayla, who is still said to be in a critical condition after last week's tragic car crash, has reportedly received $30,000 from kind members of the public who were touched by her devastating story.

The tot is currently being treated in Montpellier Hospital, while plans are being made to repatriate her parents' bodies to New Zealand.

Commenting on the amazing show of support, Collins’ spokesman Tim Castle said: “It’s incredibly powerful. Sport and this young man, and the tragedy that has befallen him, has brought a unity of people across the globe. It’s humbling.”

This latest report comes just days after it was revealed that Collins’ former colleagues – including rugby stars Neemia Tialata and Chris Masoe – were on their way to Montpellier to be at Ayla’s bedside.

This is such a tragic story that has clearly broken the hearts of many around the world. Ayla remains in our thoughts and prayers.
