The late Lynda Bellingham will be honoured with a special tribute by ITV on Christmas Day.

The Loose Women presenter lost her battle with colon cancer last month aged just 66.

Since her death, fans have called for one of her iconic Oxo adverts to be aired on TV next month as a touching tribute.

Lynda starred in a series of commercials for the cooking stock in the Eighties, and her role as the Oxo Mum is remembered fondly by many families.

Oxo revealed that thousands of people have been in touch asking for the 1984 My Christmas ad to be aired again as a tribute to Lynda. "Over the past few weeks, hundreds of thousands of Lynda's fans have rallied behind a call for the return of the ad as a fitting tribute for all the inspiring things she achieved during her career," said a spokesperson.

The exact time at which the ad will be aired has yet to be revealed.

Before her death, Lynda had spoked about her hopes to share one last Christmas with her family, opening presents under a real tree and eating a full turkey dinner.
