She gave birth to her first child, a son, back in September, and at long last we are getting a look at singer and reality star Kimberley Walsh's adorable tot.

The former Girls Aloud star has opened up on the challenges of her labour and motherhood in a new interview with Mother & Baby magazine, and brought son Bobby along to pose for some gorgeous photos.

In her interview, the 33-year-old talked openly about that age-old topic of baby weight, and she admitted that she is proud with the example she has set for other new mums.

“It’s good for other women to see that not everybody just snaps back straight away,” said Kimberley, adding, “I think I’m a positive role model to other women who might find comfort in the fact that I did not spring back into shape.”

Kimberley also opened up on the challenges that motherhood has brought, right from little Bobby’s birth.

“Bobby turned at the last minute making it virtually impossible to push him out. The doctors had to use forceps to move his head down and when he came out his face was looking up at us!” she revealed.

The birth aside, Kimberley admits that she encountered some difficulties when it came to breastfeeding; something which a number of other famous mums have recently spoken out about.

“Bobby wouldn’t latch onto my boob which I found very distressing. It turned out he was tongue tied and so they snipped his tongue. That really helped but it was hard for him to learn because it was new to him,” she said.

It’s so encouraging to hear mums in the spotlight talking so openly and honestly about their experiences, and we agree that Kimberley is a wonderful role model.
