He was voted Best Dressed Royal during the summer, so it’s no big surprise to see that Prince George of Cambridge is following in his mother’s footsteps and turning into a trend-setter.

New research carried out across over 2000 British parents has shown the true extent of ‘the royal effect’ when it comes to baby clothing, toys and equipment, with 43 percent of those surveyed admitting to being influenced by the baby prince when making purchases for their own children.

With frequent reports that designer garments worn by the baby prince are selling out in record time, it seems that parents are definitely feeling the pressure of raising their children in an age when celebrity baby style icons are becoming the norm.

Indeed, the new survey found that 57 percent of the parents surveyed said they felt pressurised to purchase a designer pram, with Prince George’s own brand of stoller, Silver Cross, proving popular among two in five.

Of course, Prince George is not the only stylish celebrity baby to be putting the pressure on parents’ purchases for their children, with Harper Beckham and the trendy North West boasting impressive designer wardrobes.
