Anna Daly was rushed to the emergency room with her two-year-old son James after he hurt himself playing football with his dad.

The TV3 star explains what happened: “He was out playing football with his dad and he kicked the ground instead of the ball and his whole foot went backwards, the poor thing.”

The little boy was fitted with a cast after it was found that he’d broken his metatarsal, and Anna says he wasn’t scared at all. She was also very impressed with how efficiently everything was handled in the hospital:

“We hear all the time about how poor the health service is, with the lengthy delays and the poor staffing levels and we’re so critical of it. For us, we had an amazingly positive experience. It seems that early Sunday morning is the best time to go to A&E as we weren’t waiting long at all.

“It was his first time ever in hospital which could have been a bit scary for him but they were brilliant, they even gave him a little teddy bear with the same bandage on.”
