You asked

What is the most important thing parents can do to help prevent teen pregnancy?

All parents worry about their teenagers and a teen pregnancy is a very real concern. The most important preventative measure parents can take is to remain involved in their teen's lives. Set aside time every day to spend with your teen.

Talk to your teen, tell them that you are there for them and show it in your actions. Show interest in your teen’s interests. Be active as a family and let your child know that she can come to you about anything.

If you are involved with your teen, the lines of communication about tough issues like teen pregnancy will remain open and the more you will be able to help prevent your teen from making any mistakes.
