10 classic books that will encourage your child to turn off screens and read more

In this golden age of TV and technology, parents are finding it increasingly difficult to get their little ones to step away from the screens. 

When we were kids, one of our favourite things to do was pick up a new book in the bookstore or library and devour it as quickly as possible. We loved getting lost in the worlds of fantasy and make-believe. Nowadays, the joys of reading are struggling to fight against giants such as YouTube, video games and Netflix.

However, it is never too late to try and encourage your child to read more! Not only are books an amazing, fun pastime, but they can also help young children with their reading and spelling skills.

Matilda by Roald Dahl

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
