Shocking news has emerged this evening, with reports that a three-year-old child has died from suspected knife wounds in Dublin.

 

According to a report by the Irish Times, the child - believed to be a boy - was found at a property in Crumlin, Dublin. A Garda statement confirmed the child was discovered at a residence in Poddle Park.

 

A woman is also reported to have been found at the scene, also suffering from stab wounds. She is said to have been rushed to St James' Hospital for treatment, and she remains in a serious condition.

 

Gardaí are now on the scene, and are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to get in touch with either Crumlin Garda Station on 01 666 6200, or their local station.
