Harry Judd and his wife Izzy Judd took their son Kit to the hospital after the mum-of-two’s instinct told her that their little one needed to see a doctor.
In an Instagram post yesterday, the 33-year-old mother shared with her 217K followers that it has been ‘a seriously tough week’ for their family.
“Kit has been a poorly boy and we ended up in hospital,” the former Escala violinist said in the caption. The photo shows little Kit’s legs in a farmhouse onesie, with a hospital bracelet around his ankle.
The Judds have not disclosed what mystery illness sent their youngest to the hospital.
Izzy had nothing but kind words for the NHS and the people treating her son, saying, “We have been looked after by the most amazing paramedics, doctors and beautifully caring nurses. A very frightening experience was eased by a very kind and reassuring nurse who held my hand when my little boy was very distressed.”
Kit is the youngest in the Judd family, with his older sister Lola being born in January 2016. The McFly drummer and his wife have been married since December 2012.
Things seem to be improving for the baby boy, who was born in August this year.
“Tonight, Kit has given me the most beautiful smiles. My heart has longed to see those for the last few very long days,” Izzy said.
She had wise words for fellow parents, noting, “I have experienced so many emotions, but what I have learned is don’t be afraid to call for help and ALWAYS remember a mother's instinct is very powerful.”
Fans sent supportive messages to Izzy and her family.
“Praying for the little one to get well soon. You are amazing, Izzy. Hugs to you,” a follower commented.
The Judds' story resonated with one fan’s personal experience.
“Oh, Izzy - I am so sorry to hear little Kit has been poorly. Our NHS is an amazing thing. They saved my baby boy's life. He is one next week! … Sending lots of love and healing vibes to Kit and your beautiful family,” they shared.
Izzy said in the Instagram post that Kit was feeling better yesterday, and the family hopes that they can bring him home today.
