Welsh actor Owain, who is best known for his role as Agent Wayne Rigsby in The Mentalist, confirmed the news to People magazine.
The 36-year-old described himself and wife Gigi Yallouz as “overjoyed”, saying: “We feel so blessed to share this fantastic news and are excited to start this new chapter in our life.”
He added: “Obviously this is big news for our French bulldog Cash, who up until now has been an only child.”
Owain and Gigi got married in September last year, in a private ceremony in Malibu.
Addressing the wonderful news, Owain’s manager said: “We are pretty certain that the baby was made in Wales and that definitely made Owain, a proud Welshman, extremely happy!”
Owain went on to share a snapshot of their baby’s scan photo, describing his unborn child as “the greatest gift” Gigi has ever given him.
