There's little worse than when you're really in the mood for a dance, but present company refuse to indulge you.

One tot, who was taught a sobering life lesson in persistence recently, delighted YouTube users all over the word as they championed his mission to get his groove on.

Determined to make the most of a track playing in the family car, this adorable little boy excitedly turns up the volume only to have it lowered by his bemused mum.

Undeterred by his mother's reluctance to cut loose, the tot raises the volume again and launches into one of the slickest dance routines we've ever seen from a baby.

Uploaded by Adam Peterson, the video has been viewed a whopping 319,684 times and reminds us all to be brave in the face of adversity.
