A tragic story this morning as a child has died after being left in his family car by his father who forgot to drop him to nursery.

The six-month-old boy was discovered after his father returned after his shift to realise that he had forgotten to drop his son off at his nursery.

Arriving to work at 6.15am, the father did not return to his car till after 3pm after temperatures had hit a torturous 38C.

The chilled – named as Dillon – was rushed to hospital to be treated for heart pains and high blood pressure but sadly died.

Police in San Antonio, Texas where the child was found, have since warned the public yet again of the dangers of leaving a child in a hot car as temperatures can be up to 20 degrees higher than outside.

Dillon becomes the 27th child to have died in a hot car this year in the US.
