With a baby comes a lot of new purchases. From the nursery to the baby bag, babies need their very own toolkit and it needs to cover every eventuality.
And when you’re on the go, that’s even more important.
While it’s probably that you will leave the house with your newborn and forget something, we’re here to help prepare you as much as we can – starting with your car.
No longer do we care about how comfortable the seats are or how good the speakers sound, now it’s all about space, storage and safety.
Be prepared to transform your car into a mobile home, and with that change of purpose comes all the things you need to have it stocked with.
Here are just some of the things we think every mum needs in her car.
1. Wipes
For the rest of time, if there is one thing you should carry with you, it’s wipes.
You never know when a spill or accident might happen, and being prepared to clear it up is imperative.
2. Milk
It’s always a good idea to have milk with you just in case.
You’ll never know when they’re going to have a tantrum or just get unexpectedly hungry, so always best to be prepared.
3. Hand sanitiser
Do we need to explain why?
From big accidents to general wear and tear, your hands will touch a lot of surfaces, not all of them clean, so it’s a good idea to keep sanitiser on hand.
4. Soft toys
Car tantrums are the worst – you’re preoccupied with driving and the noise of their screams just echoes round the car.
We always like to keep some small soft toys in the car to keep them busy.
5. Extra nappies
We cannot say this enough, but you never know when an accident might happen.
We will never leave the house without extra nappies and even an extra change of clothes –just in case.
