It was the scene of mass murder on Friday night as gunmen from terrorist group, ISIS, opened fire on music fans enjoying a performance by US rock group Eagles of Death Metal, and today the venue which saw the death of more than 80 innocent people, have taken to Facebook to address the public

Reflecting on the horror which unfolded on Friday night, the venue began their statement by writing: "Dear Friends, There are no words to express our sorrow. Our thoughts are with the victims, the injured and their loved ones."

Acknowledging that members of the public hoped to seek solace by uniting in grief at one of the scenes of Friday's massacre, the club explained that at this point in time they would be unable to facilitate the request.

"Many of you want to gather at the Bataclan but unfortunately the authorities are still working at the scene. We will keep you informed on when that will be possible" they explained in response to requests by grieving members of the public.

Extending their gratitude to the wider public in the wake of Friday's horror on Boulevard Voltaire, the club finished their statement, saying: "We thank you for your support, it has deeply moved us."

In addition to the 89 people who lost their lives at the well-known Parisian concert hall on Friday, a further 38 died in the French capital while hundreds more sustained injuries in the deadliest attack Europe has witnessed since the 2004 Madrid bombings.

Our thoughts remain with all those affected by Friday night's events.
