In a world of Gigis and Kendalls, it's refreshing to hear Vanessa Redgrave being announced as the new face of Gucci, and she looks INCREDIBLE in the brand's new campaign.

The English actress took part in a photoshoot at Chatsworth House – the Derbyshire home of the Duke and Duchess – where photographer Glen Luchford took sensational shots of the 79-year-old.

Wearing a printed ruffled silk twill top and pleated skirt, the Howard's End and Foxcatcher star looked relaxed and at ease in the garden setting; a Gucci embroidered bag in the same pattern as her outfit hung from a shovel.

Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily about the campaign, designer Alessandro Michele said: "There’s something very punk about the idea that you can wear a skirt from your granny’s wardrobe,"

Not only does Gucci's Cruise 2017 campaign prove that you don't need to have a good Instagram following to make it in the modelling world, but that beauty has no age limit.

Fair play to Vanessa and Gucci, we LOVE this campaign.
